Department of Education Regional Office IX holds the Regional Training of Trainers for Senior High School (SHS) Batch 2 at Manuel’s Resort, Pinan, Zamboanga del Norte on September 4-8.
The RTOT aimed to orient participants on the up-coming Mass Training of Teachers for Grade 11 (Batch 2) in October and Grade 12 in December. This is also to update the participants of the said training on the overview of the SHS Curriculum.
In a message expressed by the Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Crisologo L. Singson, he highlighted the importance of the implementation of the programs, projects and activities of the regional office by the employees that will be truly significant to the lives of the learners if everyone works together in this endeavour.
The five-day RTOT of trainers attended by fifty personnel from the different Regional Operational Divisions had the following sessions; Overview of SHS Curriculum; SHS MTOT Training Plan and Design; Orientation on the Conduct of SHS-MTOT (Terms of Reference and Staff Discipline); Orientation on Monitoring and Evaluation, Process Observation,
Online QuAME and M&E Tool; Updates on the Inclusive Education Program (Madrasah Education Program, IPEd, ELLN, ALS, SPED); Different Learning Areas and Preparation for Regional Integrated; Competition (RSPC, RFOT, Regional Meet).
Best practices, issues, challenges and interventions were shared by the discussants that would help measure the quality of the implementation and in planning for the success of the upcoming MTOT for Grades 11 and 12. The training ended with a closing program highlighted on the distribution of certificates.
