In the light of achieving peak performance and more effective implementation of the Department of Education Program and Projects, a troop of DepEd IX officials took off to converge at Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) - Innovation and Technology, Soriano Hall, Diliman, Quezon City on July 25-28 to directly engage in the Enhancement Workshop on Education Program and Projects Monitoring and Evaluation for Education Officials.

`The workshop targets include  shared understanding of the importance and context of Quality Assurance, Monitoring and Evaluation (QAME) function of the region; explain the Regional Integrated Monitoring and Assessment Framework; clarify the roles as member of the RQAME teams; and start the process of building strong RQAME by agreeing on some M&E working mechanisms and arrangements.

Ms. Adelima “Laine” A. Velasco, the Monitoring and Evaluation Learning Specialist, Senior Advisor elucidated and enlightened the participants regarding the ideal practices and powerful inputs on the conduct of QAME. She also spoke on the Approach to Organizational Change by Dr. Harold Leavitt that the organization is composed of the interactive components; the people, the tasks, the structure, and the technology.
She further explained on effective and efficient interplay of these elements in order that the organization will prosper in carrying out its business process and to continuously improve. This implies that all personnel involved in the QAME activity shall perform diligently their duties and tasks guided by their key result areas responsive and relevant to the needs of the schools’ divisions to highly meet the targets and concrete major outputs.

Part of the training was also the presentation from the Global Peace Education by Ms. Ann Marlita Arevalo, the Director of SEAMEO INNOTECH, who came to radiate its advocacies, programs and projects to strengthen the culture of peace not only in the Philippines but also in the whole world.
