A   Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed between DepEd Pagadian City Division represented by the Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Danny B. Cordova and Malindang Broadacasting Network Corporation (MBNC) represented by the president, Atty. Marlo C. Bancoro at DepEd Pagadian City Division conference room on February 2.
The Division of Pagadian City and the MBNC or DXMB 105.3 MHz, have forged the partnership in view of the National Telecommunications Commission’s (NTC) separate issuances of MO No. 10-06-2020 and MC No. 4-08-88 (under the provisions of Section 6.3.2, Item) that prompted all broadcast networks/operators to provide assistance to the Department of Education and remind these operators to carry free public service features, including education, cultural and civic. It was to be noted, however, that said partnership has come into reality thru the initiative,  generosity and voluntary act of MNBC General Manager Cuatidio S. Sucaldito, Jr. and  Program Director Myrna S. Tubat.
Under the agreement, the local broadcasting network shall be offering free airtime to DepEd Pagadian City with its radio-based program entitled DepEd Pagadian Edukasyon sa Kabataan which will include its Radio-Based Instruction (RBI) Program within the given time slot. The audio contents to be broadcasted will be prepared by DepEd Division with the technical assistance from the broadcasting network.
Part of the agreement was also to constitute radio-based program management team that will manage and oversee the preparations and production of items for broadcasting, to organize DepEd pool of speakers and a recording team which will handle the recording in coordination with the broadcasting network. The time slot will also be used to broadcast information, updates, directions of DepED and other education-relevant issues and concerns for the best interest of the learners, parents, teachers, all stakeholders and the public in this new normal.
In his statement, SDS Cordova said:“My wholehearted gratitude to the persons who have come to the office (continue page 5)
and offer something for the DepEd.” “It is unique, wonderful and good tidings for DepEd Pagadian City. There is no amount of money that we can pay to you but our prayers that Malindang Broadcasting Network Corporation will thrive, and we will support you also for that in the future.” On the other hand, Atty. Bancoro also expressed his gratitude that it was an honor for the broadcasting network to be a partner of DepEd Pagadian City. He said that it is the broadcasting network’s social responsibility to help people and to answer or to  be responsive to the call of service for our country during this pandemic.
