DEPED SAFE-CI AWARDS SIBUGAY INNOVATORS

The Secretary’s Award for Excellence in Curriculum and Instruction (SAFE-CI) 2019-2020 recognized and awarded  exemplary innovations from the Schools  Division of  the Province of Sibugay via  Zoom which ceremony  was livestreamed in DepED Philippines Facebook  and DepED Tayo pages on February 5. 

The national competition winners were identified according to category. The Most Learning-Focused Public Elementary School went  to Siay Central Elem. School, School Head, Dr. Mardie A. Acotanza; Most Learning-Focused Public Junior High School, Francisco Ramos National High School, School Head, Dr. Estrelita A. Peña; and Most Learning-Focused Public Senior High School, Imelda National High School, School Head, Dr. Dennis D. Silva. 

Based on DM No. 002, s.2020, the  school head of the winning school shall also be recognized as outstanding principal. Other categories contested were Most Learning-Focused Schools Division Office, Most Learning-Focused Regional Office and Most Effective Division. Plaques and Certificates of Recognitions will be given-out to the identified recipients.  

SAFE-CI is a nation-wide  DepEd  program on rewards and recognition initiated by the Office of Undersecretary for Curriculum and Instruction, anchored on the Civil Service Commission’s Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE). 

The search sought to encourage  creativity, innovativeness, integrity and productivity in public service. It aimed to showcase  the best learning-focused practices among DepED organizational units, officials and employees. 

Moreover, included in the criteria of selection are learning-focused and effective organization which utilized exemplary practices that increased learning and academic achievement, relied on data-driven decision making and provided frameworks and tools for organizing and designing effective teaching-learning activities. It also encouraged collaboration among educational stakeholders.
