Girl Scouts of the Philippines : RO9 director receives accolade for institutionalizing GSP badgework into K-12 curriculum

Putting premium as an active Officer of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP), a Central Board Member of the GSP and Vice-Chairperson of the Membership Committee for the triennium 2015-2018, Dr. Isabelita M. Borres accepted a recognition last August 5, 2017 at the GSP National Headquarters, Manila, for her invaluable contribution and in acknowledgement for the several initiatives she instituted that ensured school girls’ participation in the (GSP).
She has graciously shared her time, skills and expertise to the movement by introducing and spearheading a project on Integration, Alignment and Synchronization of GSP Programs and Activities into K to 12 Curriculum which birthed the manual of GSP badge work which have been freely distributed to schools in the region. This served as a guide for teachers to integrate the different levels of badge work in the eight subject areas of the present curriculum and as a tool for leadership development and value development program.
Dr. Borres’ voluntary works boil down to her dedication as a public servant with school boys and girls in mind as priority. As an advocate for the cause of GSP, she helps these girls appreciate the programs and activities of GSP that will eventually achieve its mission and vision.
She has been a leader of action, not only for the GSP Program but for public service in general.
